Service standards
Operational standards for merchants using Porterchain: parcels must be lawful, safe, and compliant; information accurate and complete; cutoff times and instructions followed. Parcels must be sealed, tamper-resistant, and stackable. Size and weight must match declared class; misdeclared parcels may be reclassified or refused. Full street address, unit/suite, postal code, and recipient contact where required. Parcels ready at scheduled pickup; pickup locations accessible and safe. Delivery attempts to the provided address; Proof of Delivery (POD) captured as configured; delivery times estimated, not guaranteed. Exceptions (recipient unavailable, access issues, address errors) are coded; reattempts may incur fees. Returns are separate delivery events and may incur charges. Full policy: ops@porterchain.com.

Tiers and size classes. You see the breakdown before you confirm. No hidden fees.
Auditability
Why did pricing change? Exception codes, not chaos. Every delivery attempt is logged; you can trace variance and reattempts.
Exception discipline
We don’t hide exceptions—we code them. No access, recipient unavailable, reattempt: each has a code and a path. The system decides unless reality forces a human.
Billing discipline
Weekly billing. Auto-pay. Holds when required. No negotiation on rates—tiers and size classes determine pricing.
Claims & prohibited items
Prohibited: Illegal goods; hazardous materials; firearms, ammunition, explosives; controlled substances; live animals; perishable items without proper safeguards; cash, currency, or bearer instruments. Restricted (prior approval): High-value goods; medical or health-related items; fragile items. Porterchain may refuse parcels, apply surcharges, or suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations. Questions: ops@porterchain.com.

Compliance summary

Security posture
Practical controls today. SOC2 later. API keys, HTTPS, rate limiting, CSP. No public secrets. Admin overrides are logged and reviewed; we operate on least privilege and auditability.
