How to reduce failed deliveries
Failed deliveries burn capacity and customer trust. Most failures are preventable: incomplete addresses, closed docks, missing contacts, or freight not ready. Fix the inputs before you add more vehicles.

Validate the stop before dispatch
Require a reachable phone, accurate suite or gate, and a delivery window the receiver confirmed. For jobsites, capture GC or site supervisor contact — not only the purchasing office.
Match vehicle and freight to the site
Oversized vehicles on tight sites and undersized vehicles for pallets both fail. Confirm class in the quote and stage freight that matches the booked capacity.
Use proof to stop repeat disputes
Photo and timestamped POD close loops with receivers and billing. When a stop fails, document the reason so the redelivery brief is accurate.
